Greg Percival has joined the Kimpton Contracts team as Electrical Contracts Supervisor.
Life in the industry started back in 2003 when he began an apprenticeship with JF Foord. They were a company we’ve worked alongside for many years and this classic photo of our own Ron Tierney and Dave Gore outside LIPA in Liverpool, was one of the first when JF Foord were the electrical contractor. He also worked with one of our sub-contractors on both Ducie Court, Manchester and Greenbank Student Village projects, so he’s already a familiar face to the rest of the team.
Greg’s application and ability has seen him progress through the ranks, from a site based foreman to the project lead on many large scale projects including new wards at Clatterbridge and the floodlight upgrade at Anfield, after the introduction of Sky 3D rendered the previous lighting system unusable.
Life is rarely dull for Greg as he’s often mistaken for his lookalike Peter Kay and this second image here shows why.
He’s married with three boys and lives in Helsby, Cheshire.
When we asked him what he was looking forward to in his role at Kimpton, Greg said
“I’m sure everyone says similar, but I’d like to prove myself, progress and do a great job for our clients and the team here. The decision to join was made much easier by the fact I have known so many in the team for so long and worked alongside them for years. I know it’s a great place to work, with a really strong forward order book. I can’t wait to get stuck in”
