    Our History

    We were founded by Eric Kimpton in October 1963 as a heating and plumbing services company. With the development of Air Conditioning in the late 1960’s E.A. Kimpton Ltd established our own Air Conditioning Division in 1970.

    The Kimpton philosophy has always been and will continue to be “gain a customer, keep the customer” and to maintain that working relationship “Queensway” was established in 1973 as our in-house Service and Maintenance Division. A belief that has delivered great success for Kimpton over the years to the extent that having installed systems over 20 years ago and maintained them ever since, we are today looking at replacing those systems with modern, energy efficient technology.

    Another key element to the Kimpton ethos is quality. Quality not only in product and installation, but quality in service, this was enforced in 1992 when we first achieved ISO9001 accreditation.

    Throughout our history we have seen steady, strong organic growth and in 2000 we moved to new premises; our current office location in Bromborough, ahead of the Management Buy-Out in 2001.

    Now trading as Kimpton Building Services and with Richard Kimpton, one of Eric’s sons now at the helm, he seized the opportunity to procure F&T Noise Control in 2003. With F&T rebranded as Kimpton Acoustic Engineering the noise control business has proven to be an inspired addition to the Kimpton business, diversifying and going from strength to strength, year on year.

    After successfully securing and delivering our first Ground Source Heat Pump project in 2008, Kimpton Renewables Division was established. With the capability and experience to offer the full range of low and zero carbon technologies we achieved MCS accreditation in 2012.

    As part of our commitment to the environment our Quality Management system was improved to incorporate our Environmental Policy statement and we achieved ISO14001 in 2010.

    Our Future

    Our future lies in providing full turn-key solutions for our clients looking for an integrated solution to their building services needs incorporating the latest energy and cost saving technologies. Whilst our day to day business includes providing support for existing systems, our future lies in working with our clients on developing energy efficient and cost reducing building service solutions that will provide them with a competitive advantage in their business and contribute to their long term sustainability.
