As 2025 draws to a close, we can reflect on another year of enormous success at Kimpton.
Our people are the foundation of everything we do. This year we’ve recruited 17 new team members, including 5 industry experts and 6 apprentices, taking our total number to 121.

We were delighted to welcome a team of senior engineers and operations leads from HE Simm. Ian Bruce, Peter O Keeffe, Neil Davies, John Glynn and Shane Hartley, bring enormous experience and further bolster our technical operations capacity as we look to a new phase of growth, with expanded delivery of MEP services to commercial and public sector clients across the UK.

After securing the maintenance of AC systems at The City of Liverpool College and being appointed to its minor works framework, we welcomed AC apprentices Jack Gleave and Michael Murray, who study and work at the college during their apprenticeship, and Grace Maddock to our Turnkey Division as a graduate construction manager. Millie Davies joined our expanding High-Rise Residential MEP division with design apprentice Henry Christian, while electrical engineering apprentice Lewis Chapman also arrived.

We have enjoyed increasing demand for full commercial fit out, decarbonisation and hard FM services, which is reflected in the breadth and scale of projects to which we’ve been appointed, including two further landmark buildings on Liverpool’s waterfront – West Tower and the Capital.
A highlight was completing a major renovation of hospitality suites at M&S Bank Arena Liverpool. The high-quality custom fit-out included two new Premium Super Suites with capacity for 24 people, 16 Premium Suites and four new Skyline Experience Suites, each for 12 guests. The Sodexo Live! lounge also received an upgrade, while bathrooms, corridors, lifts and lobby areas of the hospitality offering were transformed to ensure a consistent experience.

Across the UK, we’ve been pleased to support the delivery of multiple Build to Rent developments in locations such as Cardiff, Telford and Birmingham. Our expertise in the education sector continued to grow with contract successes at University of Chester and The City of Liverpool College, complementing existing relationships at colleges and universities across the North West.

We also secured The Manchester Metropolitan University‘s gas maintenance contract and our growing success in Greater Manchester leads us to explore options for opening a Manchester office next year.

In October, a fine evening at Liverpool Chamber’s Innovation in Business Awards saw us proudly named Business of the Year (30+ employees); wonderful recognition for our hard-working, talented team, and the partners we work alongside.

We look ahead to 2026 with optimism, reinforced by strong relationships, buoyed by 2025’s successes and with a pipeline of excellent opportunities to explore, all over the UK.
From our team to yours, we wish you a happy end to 2025, a joyous Christmas and a prosperous New Year!
