Nightingale House Hospice Christmas tree collection

Scott Bennett and Steve Loughran of the Kimpton Contracts team again gave up their weekend to help with the Nightingale House Christmas Tree Collection. It’s an initiative started by the Wrexham based hospice to remove old Christmas trees and save people that painful, pine needle ridden trip to the recycling centre, that we all know and dislike so much.

It’s a very simple system, which due to the superb organisation runs very smoothly. If you wanted your tree collected, you just had to pay a small fee and then leave your tree on your driveway for one of the volunteer companies to come along on the allotted day and take it away.

Sam Amis, from Nightingale Hospice was delighted with the results of the day and said.

“As you know, 2020 was a difficult year for Nightingale House, as it was for many charities. The Christmas Tree Collection 2021 has enabled us to start this year in the best way possible. With your support we managed to collect over 1000 Christmas trees to be recycled and raise over £10,000 for patient care at Nightingale House Hospice.

On behalf of everyone here at Nightingale House Hospice, thank you once again for your continued support. You truly are our Hospice Heroes!”

We’re proud to continue to support their incredible, selfless work and have happily committed to the same shift next year too.
