Training our team is something that has always been a vital part of our business model. We’re proud of the fact that almost half of our senior team, joined Kimpton as apprentices. To allow them to develop and progress, we have invested in the training they have needed over the years, to lead the team and drive the business forward.
We’re therefore delighted to have won the Association of Plumbing & Heating Contractors Quality Plumber Week ‘Commitment to Training’ Award, sponsored by Fernox, which recognises this long term commitment to training.
Training is something that isn’t always seen as business critical. In theory, you can always hire someone external with the skills you need, when you’re faced with a skills or capacity gap. But for us, this is not a long term solution, as staff turnover is bad for business continuity and a time consuming, expensive process.
We’re proud of how many in our team commit their long term careers to us and in return, we’re proud of how they develop and grow their skills to enable them to progress.
