We are extraordinarily excited to announce that in the year Eurovision comes to Liverpool, we have been appointed by The ACC Liverpool Group to deliver all of the Hard FM Services. The contract runs for an initial three years, with an option to extend to five years – but hey, What’s another Year?
We had to wait a few weeks whilst they were Making their Mind Up, but when the call came through it was Congratulations all round.
The ACC Liverpool Group own and operate the M&S Bank Arena, the ACC Liverpool and the Exhibition Centre Liverpool and between them they account for 164,000 sq ft – it’s a massive Space Man!
Since opening, the ACC campus has attracted more than 8 million visitors to around 4,500 events and generated £2bn in economic benefit for the Liverpool City Region.
When we asked Matt Breakwell of Kimpton whether he was excited about winning the contract he said; “Ooh ah Just a little bit! We’re looking forward to working with the team at the ACC to ensure everything runs to perfection and to help them meet their sustainability and energy efficiency targets.
The ACC has transformed the Liverpool waterfront and is an iconic building on the landscape. It’s a fantastic win for the team We worked really hard on the bid to demonstrate our ability to deliver the contract and the values that we share with the ACC Group, so it was great for this to be recognised and rewarded. We’re absolutely delighted to be part of the team putting Liverpool on the world stage.
As part of the Social Value commitments we made to ACC Liverpool, we will be supporting Future Yard CIC in Birkenhead, a grass-roots live music venue providing free training to local young people in technical production and live music event management. They also provide fully kitted out rehearsal studios for local musicians to practise and develop. It’s a fantastic community venue and we’re really looking forward to working with them.”
The Hard FM contract covers All kinds of Everything, from HVAC, to lighting, air conditioning, smoke extract, AHU’s, roller shutters, fire protection, right down to making sure there’s Water in the Loo…
