Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village PPM Contract

We’re proud to announce that we have been awarded the PPM contract for all of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning plant for the Novotel Hotel in Liverpool.

It’s a 16 storey hotel, in Paddington Village with stunning views of the vibrant Liverpool City Centre that opened in July 2022. There are 221 bedrooms, including 39 studio apartments that are stylishly finished and well equipped. It’s been designed to service both business and leisure customers.

The hotel also has four meeting spaces that can serve up to 120 guests for meetings and 100 for banquets. Plus the Kensington restaurant that serves international cuisine with an open plan theatre kitchen. There’s also a Precor equipped fitness suite with treadmills, cross trainers and free weights.

With our experience in the North West’s hospitality industry, we were delighted to get the call from the team at Novotel to have a look at their HVAC system with a view to an ongoing PPM contract. It’s a slightly unusual system in that heat is provided from a district system that serves the local area. All of the rooms, restaurants, meeting spaces and the fitness centre are air conditioned with fan coils units throughout.

The plant list is an extensive one and the district system delivers heat into the lower plant room. In addition, there are two large plate heat exchangers to deliver hot water throughout the hotel, along with the pump sets and expansion vessels. For air conditioning, there are nearly 260 fan coil units around the common spaces and the 15 additional floors of bedrooms.

The rooftop plantroom has an additional set of pumps, chilled water storage, expansion and buffer vessels and four large air handling units.

We will be on site soon, to begin our work and looking forward to working our way through the system.
