Now in its 22nd year, the Kimpton Cultural Tour has been an annual event since 2003, with only the covid year missing.
The format is broadly the same and every year sees the team exploring a different European city. Having already toured Barcelona, Amsterdam, Paris, Milan and Budapest to name but a few, this year took us to Copenhagen – The capital city of Denmark.
It brings together the team from every department as a thank you for a year of hard work and allows the various teams to get to know each other away from their everyday lives in the office.
This year, with a late flight on Friday, we started with pizza and pitchers of beer late into the night. On the Saturday morning, we embarked on a walking tour to get to know the history, the sights and the stories of the city.
After the tour that took us all over the city, the 34 strong team that made the trip to Denmark retired for lunch and beers at Warpigs Brewpub, followed by an afternoon pub quiz, more walking and sightseeing, before moving onto an enormous Indian meal for dinner.
It was a great weekend that went on into the late hours leading to a very quiet day in the office on Monday!
