Kimpton have been successful in their application to join the Fusion21 Heating & Renewables Framework. The framework delivers a range of heating and renewable technology works.
Fusion21 serves a group of over 500 members across public and social sectors to deliver efficiency savings on the procurement of goods and services for property, construction and the built environment. According to their own figures, they have delivered nearly £200 million savings for their members, and created more than 5,000 jobs.
For Kimpton it offers the opportunity of volume and a quick and efficient route to market. The way the framework was constructed, allowed us to apply for lots where we knew we had genuine sector expertise and are able to mobilise our skilled teams to deliver on time and budget.
The lots won are Commercial Servicing, Maintenance and Installation of Heating Systems, Commercial Installations and Department for Education/Education Specific. The lots are also geographically limited to allow firms like us to be able to compete. It doesn’t make any financial or environmental sense for us to be bidding for and winning small jobs in the South-west, but we know we work exceptionally well throughout the North West and Wales.
With our experience in the education sector, we are expecting an even bigger upturn in work from schools, colleges and university members. This has been a huge growth sector for us over recent years with our work in student accommodation and HVAC projects at every level of the academic pyramid.
Matt Breakwell, Kimpton Business Development Manager was delighted with the win.
“We are conscious of where our strengths lie and we are thoroughly delighted to have been appointed in the sectors we wanted – in the regions we targeted. We’re looking forward to a great working relationship with Fusion21, their members and ours peers on the framework too”
