Kimpton begins major refurbishment at Pullman Liverpool

We’re delighted to have started work on the refurbishment of the 4* Pullman Liverpool on the city’s waterfront.

The project will see Kimpton deliver a comprehensive refurbishment of more than 200 guest bedrooms, transforming the hotels accommodation while it continues to operate as a busy, fully functioning hotel.

The work is being carefully phased floor by floor, allowing guests to enjoy their stay without disruption throughout the programme. The ability to deliver major refurbishment projects within live environments is something our Construction team has built a strong reputation for, and we’re looking forward to working closely with the Pullman and Liverpool Experience Campus teams over the coming months.

Alongside the refurbishment itself, we’re equally excited about the social value opportunities the project creates.

As bedrooms are stripped out, over 1500 items of furniture and fittings will become available for reuse, including beds, mattresses, bedside tables, chairs and light fittings.

Rather than seeing these items become waste, our aim is to keep as much as possible in use in and around the Liverpool City Region by donating them to charities, community organisations, CICs and social enterprises that can put them to good use.

We’ve already had a fantastic response, but there is still capacity for additional organisations to benefit as the project progresses.

If you’re involved with a charity, community project, supported housing provider or reuse initiative that could make use of quality furniture, we’d love to hear from you.

We look forward to sharing progress as the transformation unfolds.
