Thanks to a series of local contract wins earlier this year, we’ve been able to boost our apprentice and graduate intake with six new starters from local colleges and universities joining us!
Among those new contracts is the management and maintenance of air conditioning systems at The City of Liverpool College, which has led directly to the recruitment of Air Conditioning apprentices Jack Gleave and Michael Murray, who will now be studying and working on behalf of the college at different times during their apprenticeship.
Kimpton was also appointed to the College’s minor works framework, paving the way to hire Grace Maddock as a graduate construction manager working in our Turnkey Division.
Trainee document controller Millie Davies has taken up her new role in our expanding High-Rise Residential division alongside design apprentice Henry Christian, while electrical engineering apprentice Lewis Chapman joins our Electrical Division.
We’re passionate advocates of apprenticeships and technical training and we’re proud to have 17 apprentices within the business, as well as graduates. Our plan for this year was to add one or two apprentices, but our success in recent tenders allowed us to reconsider.
An excellent example of local procurement leading to local jobs, investment in skills and training and a circular economy in action!
