Congratulations to Jamie MacFarlane who was shortlisted for an award at the Salford City College Annual Apprenticeship Awards 2024!
Jamie first joined us for work experience, where he was assigned to the Maintenance Department and received praise and recommendation from Alan Kyffin. He started his apprenticeship at Kimpton in August 2022 and enrolled in Salford City College in September of the same year to start his career in BSE Craftsperson Level 3 Standard. Straight away Jamie was employed out-of-town, working on the Watkin Jones Sherlock Street project and embedded himself into our well established team!
Throughout his time at Kimpton, he has gained all four mandatory courses (Asbestos Awareness, Fire Awareness, Manual Handling and Working at Height), qualified for his IPAF License and completed the Yorkshire Pegler course.
Kimpton were also shortlisted for Medium-sized Employer of the Year.
