Harnessing the power of the sun, solar energy is one of the most cost-effective ways in which to introduce Renewable Technology into your building.
Solar radiation from the sun is used to generate thermal energy to heat water. Whilst Solar PV is widely used and understood, the slightly less common application is in Solar Thermal Panels (known as collectors), which convert solar energy to heat by heating a fluid in tubes that pass through the panel. This fluid is then pumped to a cylinder where the water stored in the cylinder is heated for use in domestic hot water systems. The heated water generated during the daylight hours can be stored in the cylinder to be used during the evening/night time.
