Our latest turnkey project involved the full refurbishment of the Capital Building Level 0, to create new Government offices for a new Visas and Immigration Service and Support Centre.
The brief was to create a practical and hardwearing space with a very heavy requirement for power and data.
The scope of the full project included three key areas:
Each required extensive work, with a relatively tight deadline.
The initial role was to clear the space completely to allow us start with a blank canvas. With the plan for the revised layout agreed, we began work, to install the mechanical services, covering heating and ventilation to all of the newly planned spaces.
This incorporated, the installation of new chilled and heating pipework throughout, Fan coil units in the individual spaces and a new ventilation system throughout. All of this is controlled via a new BMS and field wiring.
At the same time, the electrical installation work was well underway, with new LED lighting throughout to our own design specification. Power and data was required for almost every desk and work station throughout and to ensure the space was safe, a new fire alarm system was installed.
With both mechanical and electrical works in progress and the need to access ceiling and floor voids lessening, the interior fit-out began, to install all new walls and joinery to create open plan and office spaces.
With these completed, we recarpeted the space throughout, completed the decorating and installed the suspended ceilings with the light covers.
The end product is an incredibly functional and practical space which is absolutely fit for purpose.

Seeing the way the teams work with each other in the same space never ceases to amaze me. They have lots of experience in working alongside each other and multi trades on site can hugely reduce lead times for completing projects like this, where the deadline is slightly tight”
