Working alongside Davics Construction, Kimpton were tasked with the design and installation of the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing package for the extension to the infirmary within the stunning and award-winning monastery.
The scope of works included the design and installation of a new heating system which included the installation of new LST radiators and modifications to the existing pipework. There were also electrical works ranging from sub-distribution units, through to emergency lighting and mechanical extract fans.
The job was managed by project engineer Chris Tolley and was delivered on time and budget, Feedback from the Main Contractor was positive with the management of the project and the close working relationship established with their team, being commended.
This is not the first time Kimpton have worked on the Monastery as our Service and Maintenance Division were successful in securing the planned maintenance contract for the building after its completion in 2012. It was the ongoing excellent service from the Kimpton Maintenance team that prompted the client to recommend that we were to undertake the extension works.
